News HALZEOCAT-CM – April 2026
New members join the HALZEOCAT-CM project
During April, the HALZEOCAT-CM project welcomed two new members to the NHBPM research group at the Madrid Institute of Materials Science (ICMM-CSIC). We warmly welcome them and wish them every success in this new stage.
Verónica López López joined the HALZEOCAT-CM project as a member of the NHBPM research group at the ICMM-CSIC, under the supervision of Dr. Miguel Camblor.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Complutense University of Madrid. Her academic background focuses on solid-state chemistry and materials science, particularly in the study of batteries and materials for thermoelectrocatalysis. She also has experience in the synthesis of zeolites and their applications.
Her expertise in the synthesis and characterization of non-molecular solids and catalysis provides a strong foundation for contributing to the scientific and technical activities of the project. Within HALZEOCAT-CM, Verónica is involved in the synthesis and modification of inorganic materials, including zeolites and metal oxides, the preparation of structure-directing agents, the physicochemical and structural characterization of materials, and the analysis of experimental data, contributing to the development of new catalytic materials for environmental applications.
In addition, Luisina Forzani joined the NHBPM research group at the ICMM-CSIC as part of the HALZEOCAT-CM project, where she contributes both to project management and research support activities.
She holds a BSc in Materials Science from the National University of Litoral (UNL, Argentina) and completed her PhD in Physics at the same institution while carrying out her doctoral research at the Institute of Physics of Litoral – CONICET. Her research has focused on the fabrication of nanostructured porous materials and the characterization of their physical properties for the development of nanocomposites and multifunctional devices.
Within HALZEOCAT-CM, Luisina is responsible for project management and coordination tasks, including communication between the research teams and the funding agency. In addition, she supports the project's research activities by participating in laboratory work, following good laboratory practices, maintaining detailed experimental records, and assisting in the preparation and characterization of materials.
