Welcome to the HALZEOCAT-CM project
HALZEOCAT-CM is a research project funded by Comunidad de Madrid focused on developing advanced catalytic materials for the removal of persistent halogenated pollutants from water.
The project combines the design of next-generation ultraporous zeolites with sustainable catalytic processes to address the degradation of PFAS ("forever chemicals") and other highly persistent organochlorine pollutants.
Through the collaboration between the Madrid Institute of Materials Science (ICMM-CSIC) and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), HALZEOCAT-CM aims to develop efficient and environmentally safe solutions for advanced wastewater treatment.
